Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Energy and Climate Specialist to join our team at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in Washington, DC. As a Research Associate, you will support the work of the senior fellow for energy and climate and contribute to the CFR Initiative on Climate and Energy.

Your key responsibilities will include conducting research on clean energy technology innovation, international climate cooperation, investment and finance for the energy transition, trade and industrial policy related to climate and clean energy, and other topics as requested by the senior fellow. You will also provide logistical and administrative support, including scheduling and calendar management, handling phone calls and media requests, making travel arrangements, and drafting correspondence.

You will work closely with the senior fellow and other staff supporting the upcoming CFR Initiative on Climate and Energy on research and convening activities, as well as assist with program management and budget for the initiative. Additionally, you will coordinate events, prepare invitations, make travel arrangements, correspond with speakers and presiders, help prepare background papers and materials for distribution, and provide other logistical support.
