Job Title: Traffic Engineer - Roadway Safety Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Traffic Engineer to join our team in Auburn/Opelika. As a Traffic Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing transportation solutions that prioritize roadway safety and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers to design and implement traffic signals, conduct traffic impact studies, and attend public meetings to educate the community on transportation projects.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and patterns in traffic behavior and develop strategies to improve safety and efficiency.
  • Write technical reports and collect field observations to inform transportation planning and design decisions.
  • Travel to job sites to conduct site visits and gather data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • 0-5 years of experience in traffic engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of traffic operations, conceptual geometric design, and transportation planning principles.
  • Experience with CADD software, preferably MicroStation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with English proficiency.
