Job Summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical operations of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments, ensuring a safe and efficient clinical environment.
  • Take and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality patient care by providing excellent customer service, communication, and empathy.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, tests, and treatments, and communicate results to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring exam rooms are stocked with necessary medical supplies and equipment.
  • Respond to patient inquiries, messages, and requests, providing timely and accurate information and support.
Requirements
  • Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • MA certification required; if not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months to 1 year, dependent on state requirements.
  • Current BMO or RT certification required.
  • 1+ years of experience in an office-based setting preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Ability to maintain OSHA standards and HIPAA regulations.
