Position Overview

SAIC is currently looking for an Army Aerial Intelligence Systems Engineer to support the modernization efforts of the US Army's intelligence and security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a liaison and consultant for the government client in the enhancement of Army Aerial Intelligence, which includes identifying requirements, overseeing acquisition processes, developing solutions, and managing testing and deployment of products in accordance with Army guidelines.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Aerial Intelligence platforms and technologies, along with the capability to grasp client objectives, operational concepts, and specific requirements.
  • This role is of significant visibility and plays a crucial part in shaping the acquisition and deployment of Army Intelligence tools utilized by personnel across various Combatant Commands.
  • Occasional travel within the continental United States may be necessary to support operational planning teams, program management reviews, exercises, or demonstrations of Army Intelligence solutions.

Qualifications

Essential Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree coupled with nine (9) years of relevant experience in systems engineering and product development.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • An active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory, with the ability to secure a Counterintelligence Polygraph.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in the Army Requirements Process, System Acquisition, and System Deployment.
  • Familiarity with the Army's Global Aerial ISR/Intelligence Architecture and the Processes of Exploitation and Dissemination (PED).
  • Experience across all stages of systems and product development life cycles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and teamwork abilities for effective collaboration with senior management and in team environments.
  • Knowledge of one or more Army Aerial Intelligence Systems such as Guardrail, ARL-S, Grey Eagle, Air Vigilance, ARES, ARTEMIS, and HADES, along with their functionalities and technologies.
  • Understanding of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) for requirements.
  • Experience in system development and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the Army's budgeting processes.
  • Attendance at the Defense Acquisition University is advantageous.
