Food Service Associate

Position Overview:

The Food Service Associate plays a vital role in supporting the meal service operations, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the dining area, and assisting with food preparation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains cleanliness in the dining space by wiping down tables and equipment, as well as sweeping and mopping the floors
  • Restocks necessary condiments and supplies in the dining area
  • Prepares and updates the menu display
  • Assists with food preparation activities
  • Helps set up the food service area
  • Provides assistance in serving meals as required
  • Washes dishes by rinsing and loading them into the dishwasher
  • Cleans countertops, floors, kitchen equipment, and appliances
  • Removes clean dishes from the dishwasher and stores them appropriately
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High school diploma or equivalent; or six months of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience
  • EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: No prior experience necessary
  • OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Must not be under any government sanctions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The role requires standing, walking, handling objects, and effective communication. Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds is necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The position involves working near moving machinery and in wet conditions. There may be occasional exposure to electrical hazards and a moderate noise level in the workplace.
