Radiologic Technologist at CHRISTUS Health
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Position patients and adjust equipment for taking X-rays following established procedures.
- Instruct patients on procedures and observe their vital signs during examinations.
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
- Maintain accurate radiology records and log all procedures completed.
- Select length and intensity of radiation exposure based on individual patient needs.
- Examine radiologic film for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
- Develop and process radiologic film, then deliver it to radiologists for reading and interpretation.
- Maintain examination rooms and stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
Requirements:
- Completion of a course in radiologic technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- One year of experience as a radiologic technologist preferred.
- Current state licensure and certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Current BLS certification.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer an estimated salary of $62,400 - $82,900 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
