Job Title: Firefighter Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter Paramedic to join our team at Global Medical Response Inc. As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services and fire suppression duties in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency medical calls and provide patient care, including primary and secondary physical assessment, emergency and non-emergency medical procedures, and patient transfer to medical facilities.
  • Perform fire suppression duties, including responding to emergency fire alarms, suppressing structural, residential, commercial, industrial, chemical, petroleum, vehicle, aircraft, and Wildland fires, and providing written reports detailing specific firefighting and rescue actions taken on scene.
  • Conduct daily and weekly vehicle and equipment inspections, ensure all vehicle and equipment discrepancies are documented and reported to the on-duty Fire Captain, and perform daily maintenance of facilities by cleaning, inspecting, and any other facility maintenance deemed necessary.
  • Review paperwork for accuracy and correct process, participate in scheduled and unscheduled onsite compliance audits, and implement corrective/preventive measures as determined by the Corporate Compliance/Audit Committee.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • State, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (ProBoard) certifications as a minimum: Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials-Operations.
  • State issued or National Registered EMT-Paramedic.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record in accordance with Rural/Metro policy.
