Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to collect information, determine eligibility, and verify documentation.
  • Determine program eligibility and provide instructions on program benefits and services.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, staff, and community agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including case notes and application documentation.
  • Assist clients with application processes for other benefits and refer them to relevant agencies and services as needed.
  • Certify applications and complete the application process in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with food pantry distribution and other office duties as needed.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful work environment by maintaining a professional demeanor and adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma plus 2-3 years of specialized training in social services, non-profit, or counseling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
