The Automotive Technician plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality service by performing various mechanical repairs while ensuring customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with the Service Advisor to understand the requested services and acknowledge customers in the waiting area.
• Conduct a comprehensive 21-point vehicle maintenance inspection and advise the Service Advisor on recommended services or necessary repairs.
• Execute work as specified on the repair order with precision and efficiency, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Inform the Service Consultant promptly if additional work is required, if the outlined work is unnecessary, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.
• Perform essential services such as engine, power steering, coolant, transmission, and brake flushes.
• Carry out oil changes and lubrication tasks while checking all filters.
• Diagnose vehicle issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Inspect all fluid levels, including power steering, windshield washer, transmission, engine oil, coolant, and others as per vehicle specifications.
• Rotate tires and check tire pressure according to manufacturer recommendations, ensuring proper torque on lug nuts and following safety protocols during tire changes.
• Ensure the timely delivery of the customer's vehicle.
• Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment effectively.
• Verify that all equipment, especially lifts, is in optimal working condition.
• Document all service and installation actions accurately by completing necessary forms, reports, logs, and records. Ensure all complaints, causes, and corrections are clearly noted on repair orders, following established time guides.
• Enhance job knowledge by engaging in training and educational opportunities.
Requirements:
Valid Driver's License
Experience as an Automotive Technician is required.
