Laser Operator

NW Employment Solutions is seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating a laser machine and punch to perform various operations such as cutting, punching, blanking, shearing, forming, and drawing.

• Operate Laser Machine and Punch: Set up, adjust, and operate laser machine and punch to perform precision cutting and punching operations.
• Maintain Quality and Safety: Follow established safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment. Inspect and maintain tools and machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate Tool Changes: Coordinate tool changes, selecting proper punch tolerances and die clearances, and indexing tool stations accurately.
• Inspect and Sharpen Dies and Punches: Inspect and sharpen dies and punches to ensure good tool utilization.
• Communicate Tooling Needs: Communicate tooling needs to the team and suggest improvements to make the punch work centers productive and efficient.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance: Perform periodic preventive maintenance on tools and machines to ensure optimal performance.

• Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a laser cutting or punching operation.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work accurately and efficiently, and excellent communication skills.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
