Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information and medication orders.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and medication orders.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking of medications and supplies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with changes in pharmacy practice and technology.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail or healthcare environment; pharmacy experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
