Job Summary:

Firelands Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure and distribute drug orders according to established policies and procedures.
  • Fills physician orders, medication surgical kits, medication carts, medication requisitions, and specialty items/bins.
  • Prepares sterile products, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition.
  • Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, rotating, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies.
  • Utilizes pre-packaging machine, Pyxis.
  • Performs monthly unit inspections of selected areas.
  • Generates reports, pick lists, and labels as required.

Requirements:

  • Current pharmacy technician certification required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, have an attention to detail, and work under minimum supervision.
  • Must be proficient in mathematics and basic and advanced pharmacy calculations.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
