Job Title: Registered Nurse - SICU PRN Nights

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) on a PRN night shift basis. As a Registered Nurse in our SICU, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate an age-appropriate plan of care utilizing the nursing process, clinical skills, and patient education.
  • Maintain professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts, utilizing appropriate resources as needed.
  • Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, families, visitors, and employees.
  • Assess risks to patient safety and implement the appropriate precautions.
  • Comply with appropriate and approved standards, as outlined by the organization and accrediting agencies.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employment.
