Position Overview:

The selected individual will play a pivotal role within the Global Engineering Services (GES) Sustainability division, overseeing the strategic planning, communication, and monitoring of sustainability projects aimed at enhancing energy efficiency, decarbonization, and resource positivity across various business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations Business Units, to formulate and prioritize actionable plans for sustainability initiatives.
  • Lead the ideation and design phases of sustainability retrofit programs, focusing on energy-efficient upgrades and low-carbon materials.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of design standards and criteria, ensuring alignment with technical reviews and stakeholder expectations.
  • Support construction management teams as a subject matter expert on sustainability implementation and engage in discussions with contractors and developers.
  • Establish and manage a streamlined process for evaluating and executing new sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive energy efficiency improvements during lease renewals by negotiating with landlords for sustainability enhancements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in design and construction management, particularly in sustainability-focused projects.
  • Proven project management skills, from conception through execution, with a focus on sustainability.
  • Ability to travel as required for project oversight and collaboration.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing strategies for carbon reduction and sustainable building practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications in sustainability or building management.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and managing complex projects across various teams.
