Job Summary

The Respiratory Technician II will have successfully completed the first two semesters of an accredited respiratory therapy program and will have obtained a student license from the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care.

They will be primarily assigned shifts performing direct patient care for therapies and patient care activities within the scope of student licensure per the KBRC.

Additionally, they may be assigned shifts performing EKGs in the ED or supporting equipment needs for the respiratory services department.

Responsibilities will also include equipment cleaning and reprocessing as well as cylinder storage rounds as needed during a shift.

Requirements

  • Completed at least two semesters of an accredited respiratory therapy program
  • Current active student in that program
  • Kentucky Respiratory Care "Student" Practitioner Limited License at time of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge commensurate with a respiratory therapy student who has completed two semesters of an accredited program
