The Senior Project Scheduler is essential in guaranteeing the effective planning, coordination, and execution of a significant software deployment initiative. This position will enhance and support the existing project team in developing, refining, and sustaining a detailed master project timeline that encompasses various sub-project timelines for an ongoing software deployment. The selected candidate will assist in scheduling, tracking progress, reporting, and ensuring that all project objectives are achieved within the designated timeframe and budget.

Key Responsibilities:


• Lead the creation of program timelines in partnership with other scheduling professionals using advanced scheduling tools.


• Collaborate with project stakeholders to integrate scheduling requirements into the master timeline.


• Provide high-level scheduling expertise to improve the accuracy and reliability of the master timeline as a communication resource.


• Conduct advanced scheduling assessments to offer insights into the overall project progress.


• Analyze critical paths and constraints to evaluate the impact of changes on the timeline, recommending alternatives as necessary.


• Ensure that timelines are structured to align with project goals and facilitate decision-making.


• Collect and report on project metrics as required.


• Confirm that project timelines comply with contractual obligations and provide analysis for any changes in project scope and schedule.


• Update plans, establishing tasks and subtasks to ensure the fulfillment of project contract requirements.


• Assist in escalating risks, issues, action items, and change requests to the appropriate leadership promptly.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Proven experience in scheduling large-scale enterprise software deployment projects.


• Ability to accurately evaluate the status of a timeline, identify enhancements, and implement improvements through collaboration and leadership.


• Proficient in advanced scheduling software.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with senior management effectively.


• Willingness to mentor and train junior schedulers.


• Comprehensive understanding of schedule analysis methodologies and their practical application in project scheduling.


• Familiarity with project analysis tools and their application in project scheduling.

Summary of Duties:


• Develop and manage detailed project timelines that encompass all necessary phases, activities, and milestones in the correct order with accurate durations and dependencies.


• Coordinate with project management to ensure optimal resource allocation and utilization.


• Continuously monitor and update timelines to assess and report necessary adjustments due to changes in scope or resource availability.


• Identify potential scheduling risks and implement mitigation strategies.


• Analyze the effects of delays and changes on the overall project timeline.


• Provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting any issues or deviations from the established plan.


• Collaborate closely with project managers, team leaders, and external stakeholders regarding project timelines.


• Conduct timeline reviews and audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.


• Maintain thorough documentation of all scheduling activities, changes, and decisions.


• Ensure proper management and accessibility of configuration documentation.


• Offer training support and mentorship to team members on scheduling tools and best practices.

Minimum Requirements:


• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in developing and maintaining complex project timelines.


• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle concepts and their relevance to software deployment activities.


• Availability for occasional travel within the United States for in-person workshops.

Preferred Requirements:


• Remote work is acceptable; however, business hours are primarily within standard time zones.


• Experience with large-scale software deployment initiatives.


• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
