Transforming Healthcare through Research and Innovation

Baystate Health, a leading healthcare provider in western Massachusetts, is seeking a talented clinician or researcher to join its faculty in the Division of Health and Behavior within the Department of Healthcare Delivery and Population Sciences.

About the Role

This faculty research position offers a unique opportunity to establish yourself as a scientific leader with a forward-looking research agenda, conducting independent peer-reviewed research and developing a research portfolio. Physicians will have dedicated clinical time, allowing for a balance between research and clinical responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative research in behavioral or translational sciences, including community-engaged research and health disparities, to advance Baystate's mission of better health for the communities we serve.
  • Establish a strong research program, engaging in grant writing and publication activities, and developing a research portfolio.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of scientists, data analysts, and research support staff to drive research excellence.
  • Access large, well-curated data sets and benefit from the resources of Baystate's partner institutions, including the UMass Chan Medical School and the Tufts University School of Medicine/Tufts CTSI.
Qualifications

Applicants should hold an MD or PhD in a health-related field and demonstrate a strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality, and lifelong learning. A scholarly record of research, high-impact peer-reviewed publications, and potential for securing funding from federal agencies are essential.
