Electronics Installation Specialist

About the Role
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for servicing and installing various electronic equipment, including security and point of sale systems. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to work independently and be a strong problem-solver.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of electro-mechanical devices, including cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, alarms, and point of sale equipment.
- Complete service requests and maintenance repair items in a timely manner, ensuring all requests are handled in a professional manner.
- Review work orders, manuals, and drawings to properly perform maintenance and service of equipment.
- Utilize various testing devices and hand and power tools related to the job.
- May be temporarily assigned to other geographical areas to provide support with new installations and upgrades.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
- Ability to work independently and be a strong problem-solver.
- Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols.
- 24/7 on-call rotation with other techs in your area.
- Experience with various POS systems (Verifone/NCR) a plus.
- Experience with Alarms a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good driving record is required.
- Ability to use a computer and smartphone proficiently.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands include moderate with some strenuous physical exertion, including the ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist. Must be able to climb a ladder and lift/carry up to 70 lbs. Work will be performed both outdoors and indoors.
