Position Summary: We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking individual for the role of Driver/Yard Attendant at our facility. This position is vital for maintaining the efficient operation of our outdoor spaces and ensuring high-quality service for our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate company vehicles for the transportation of boats, trailers, and equipment within the dealership or to external locations.
  • Boat Management: Skillfully manage boats during launching, loading, and storage activities.
  • Yard Upkeep: Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of the yard, ensuring a tidy and organized environment.
  • Inventory Oversight: Assist in the accurate tracking of inventory for boats and accessories located in the yard.
  • Customer Support: Offer friendly assistance to customers with loading and unloading boats, addressing inquiries, and guiding them to the right personnel.
  • Equipment Handling: Operate yard machinery such as forklifts and trailers responsibly and safely.
  • Technician Support: Aid service technicians in moving boats and equipment for maintenance and repairs.
  • Safety Practices: Follow all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and others.
  • Facility Maintenance: Help keep the dealership's outdoor areas, including walkways and parking lots, clean and presentable.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with team members to promote efficient operations and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are essential.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with boat handling are advantageous.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy items and work in a demanding environment.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as necessary.
