This role encompasses the responsibilities of a clinical expert, educator, consultant, researcher, and nurse leader, ensuring high-quality patient care through both direct and indirect interactions.
Essential Qualifications:
- Possession of a master's degree or higher in a nursing specialty, validated by national certification as a nurse practitioner.
- A minimum of three years of nursing experience at the RN level or above.
- Valid advanced practice licensure/certification as mandated by the state of employment, along with a current professional nursing license.
- Experience in acute or hospital care settings is essential for nurse practitioners.
- Work schedule includes shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM on a rotating basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Expertise: Deliver advanced levels of care to individual patients and groups, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Staff Education and Development: Lead and partner with healthcare professionals to create educational programs tailored to the needs of specific patient populations.
- Collaborative Leadership: Provide guidance in achieving organizational and departmental objectives.
- Professional Accountability: Uphold professional responsibilities and engage in self-development initiatives.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent contact with patients, both invasive and non-invasive.
- Potential exposure to bodily fluids and hazardous materials.
- Ability to react swiftly in emergency situations.
- May involve handling or administering controlled substances.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance and push/pull up to 250 lbs.
- Ability to perform various physical activities including standing, walking, and bending.
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive motions.
