Responsibilities
  • Support the Region's effort to retain and grow the business by providing marketing support.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with carrier reps and underwriters to understand carrier appetites and strengths.
  • Assist in the marketing process by providing front-end underwriting, submitting comprehensive data and information to various markets, and communicating with carriers on accounts to negotiate competitive pricing.
  • Stay attuned to the current state of the Hilb Group portfolio and the overall marketplace at the state, regional, and national level.
Qualifications
  • Property & Casualty license is required and must be maintained.
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in marketing.
  • In-depth understanding of advanced commercial lines of coverage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to maintain effective relationships with coworkers, carriers, vendors, and others.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Customer-focused, high integrity, excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to carrier, regional, and corporate offices.
