Job Title: Senior Environmental Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Planner to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our California planning team, you will play a critical role in supporting technical planning guidance and maintaining positive client relationships while managing projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply technical/business knowledge to develop creative, effective, and economical solutions to address current and potential project issues.
  • Provide supervision, training, technical direction, and mentoring to mid-level and junior-level staff.
  • Develop strategic planning and permitting execution strategies for clients on larger scale projects and programs.
  • Conduct or lead site reviews related to planning projects.
  • Provide guidance and senior technical review on project documents.

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in environmental planning.
  • CEQA / NEPA experience.
  • Experience working with large utility companies.
  • Bachelors degree.
  • Local to Northern California.

Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree.
  • Previous experience with siting and licensing linear utility infrastructure programs.
  • Experience preparing Land Use applications.
  • Experience managing or preparing Proponents Environmental Assessments (PEAs).
  • Experience preparing CEQA documents.

Salary: $130,000-140,000 based on experience.
