Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Discover Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans and procedures, working closely with patients, staff, and healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans and procedures, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Assess patient needs and develop effective plans for imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • ARRT (R) certification in radiography and advanced ARRT certification in computed tomography (CT).
  • Completion of a full-time training course in diagnostic radiologic technology, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • English language proficiency, as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), and 7407(d).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in computed tomography (CT) imaging.
Work Environment

This position requires long periods of standing, walking, and recurrent lifting of patients. Heavy lifting of totally incapacitated patients is done only with the help of other employees or with patient moving equipment.
