Job Summary

The Community Liaison is responsible for fostering strong relationships with customers and referral sources, addressing customer inquiries and concerns, and negotiating service agreements with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Community Liaison develops and maintains relationships with healthcare professionals who utilize home care services by regularly visiting referral sources to identify patients who may benefit from home health services, thereby increasing the number of clients served by the agency.
  • Maintain current knowledge of agency trends, coverage criteria, and industry changes to ensure compliance with required regulations.
  • Represent the agency at community events, health fairs, and other functions, and participate in civic and community committees as requested.
  • Conduct market assessments and develop a comprehensive marketing plan to meet budgetary volume projections.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to establish marketing strategies.
  • Implement marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.
  • Build and monitor community, customer, and payer perceptions of the agency as a high-quality provider of services.
  • Provide leadership in strategic planning, identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the agency's markets, including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor market positioning.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of marketing and share information with relevant personnel.
  • Maintain knowledge of community resources and assist customers in accessing resources when services are not provided by the agency.
  • Monitor and report the cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • At least three years of experience in healthcare marketing management, preferably in home health care operations.
  • Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
  • Knowledge of corporate business management.
  • Demonstrates good communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.

Compensation: $80,000-$120,000 annually
