About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pain Technologist/Surgical Tech to join our team at Jax Spine & Pain Centers. As a key member of our medical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our board-certified physicians in rendering professional care to patients undergoing procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing patients for designated procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient experience.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, adhering to strict policy guidelines.
  • Initiate emergency measures as needed, prioritizing patient safety.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, co-workers, and patients, providing clear and concise information.
  • Provide supplies and equipment according to the surgeon's procedure card, ensuring seamless workflow.
  • Monitor and maintain sterile technique, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Adhere to universal precautions, prioritizing patient and staff safety.
  • Refer complex situations to senior staff, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Identify patients, procedures, and sites accurately, following established policy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked working environment, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement/Safety Program, contributing to a culture of excellence.
  • Assist with inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies for optimal patient care.
  • Organize and maintain the operating room, prioritizing staff safety and efficiency.
  • Participate in in-service opportunities and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
