Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Development Officer to guide and elevate all aspects of financial resource development across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing major gifts, a personal commitment to Jewish values, and the ability to inspire and motivate others to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities- Foster a culture of philanthropy across the agency and system, ensuring a coordinated approach to fundraising.
- Manage senior development professionals and oversee all development activities in coordination with staff.
- Establish performance measures, monitor results, and evaluate the efficacy of our fundraising efforts.
- Help to recruit, train, and motivate lay leadership and solicitors.
- Lead the team in developing a fundraising plan that allows for new donor development, increased annual support, stewardship of donors, and the securing of long-term commitments.
- An exceptional major gift fundraiser with a proven track record of securing 6-7 figure gifts from a diverse portfolio with existing and new major donors.
- An engaging and inspiring leader who has a personal commitment to Jewish values, Jewish community, Jewish continuity, Israel, and global Jewry.
- An inclusive and collaborative leader with extensive Jewish communal knowledge who can successfully interface with multiple demographics within and outside of the community.
- An excellent oral and written communicator able to tailor messaging to appropriate stakeholders and demographics.
- A team builder who motivates others to perform at a high level to reach their goals.
