Role Overview:
As an Accounting Analyst II, you will play a vital role in our financial operations. This position involves performing accounting tasks that require a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. You will provide valuable financial insights to management through the preparation of financial statements and reports, as well as by analyzing and communicating results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis and maintain general ledger data transactions, preparing necessary journal entries. Execute routine assignments using our financial systems and assist in monitoring the posting of journal entries.
- Perform general accounting tasks, including the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and month-end reconciliations, as well as assisting with filings and reports for regulatory agencies.
- Support Capital Project and Fixed Asset management by monitoring reports and analytics relevant to these functions.
- Collaborate with team members to establish standards and metrics aimed at enhancing processes within our organization.
- Engage in special projects that require knowledge of accounting functions and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, along with a minimum of three years of progressively responsible accounting experience, demonstrating a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
Skills:
- Proficient in financial systems and the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Experience in change management and process improvement is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to manage confidential information effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires regular communication and the ability to perform various physical tasks, including standing, walking, and using hands for handling materials.
