Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our production departments, ensuring the safety of our people, workplace, and environment, and meeting all company, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a high-performing production team to achieve business objectives and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance plant performance and metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Foster a culture of open communication, respect, and inclusivity among team members.
  • Manage multiple supervisor-level leaders to meet daily production requirements and ensure seamless operations.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies, the Code of Business Conduct, and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; provide rewards and recognition, address performance issues, and create an open-door environment to address employee concerns and resolve problems.
  • Resolve operating, scheduling, and production issues as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience leading successful teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a minimum of 6 years related experience.
  • Experience successfully implementing Lean Management, Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Experience leading improvement efforts in production, quality, or profitability.
  • Experience with change management/transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Easily articulates ideas and needs so people at all levels can understand both verbal and written communication.
  • Highly organized and self-directed with ability to prioritize projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under demanding circumstances.
  • Ability to critically analyze situations and offer solutions.
  • Must be willing to work flexible work schedules to be available nights, weekends, and after hours if necessary.
