Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse is a licensed healthcare provider who delivers nursing care under the direction of the RN and/or provider. This role contributes to the smooth operation of the practice by attending to clinical tasks and patient care. The LPN works collaboratively with all other staff to assist the patient and facilitate a successful interaction within the practice team.
Requirements
Education/Certification/Licensure
Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
Current Basic Life Support certification.
Experience/Skills/Proficiencies
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, policies, and functions.
Understanding of documentation standards.
Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.
Works well in a team setting and demonstrates strong cooperation skills.
Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.
Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures.
Skill in handling a number of tasks simultaneously.
Experience in a physician office, preferred.
Pay Range
$18.50-$30.00 DOE
