Key Responsibilities:- Nutritional Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough nutritional assessments of patients, develop individualized care plans, and provide evidence-based nutritional therapy to meet their unique needs.
- Patient Education and Counseling: Deliver personalized education and counseling to patients and their families on healthy eating habits, nutrition therapy, and disease management.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Quality Improvement and Research: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, conduct research, and contribute to the development of clinical practice guidelines to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field.
- Experience: One year of related dietetic experience in an acute care setting.
- Certification/Registration/Licensure: Registered dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (A.N.D.) and licensed to practice dietetics by the Texas Board of Dietitians.
