Construction Manager

Alpha Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide owner's representative management and oversight of construction projects
• Coordinate and control all construction management activities, including claims management, project coordination, risk management, and quality management
• Communicate and interact with team members and authorities involved in the planning, design, execution, and construction activities of the project
• Manage, monitor, and track project objectives, including the scope of work, schedule, and budget of construction activities
• Oversee construction activities to determine whether the work has been executed in accordance with contract documents, applicable building codes, applicable quality standards, and safety standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management
• 3 years minimum of construction management experience in Federal projects in both new construction and renovations, ranging in size from $1m to $10m
• Experience working on federal projects is required
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project, Primavera 6, and SharePoint
• Ability to work and travel Nationwide, in remote locations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)
• OSHA 30-hour Safety Certificate or ability to quickly attain

Physical Demands:

The incumbent in this position can typically expect to sit and use his/her hands to handle and feel for more than 1/3 of the day. He/she can expect to stand or walk for more than 2/3 of the day. Talking and listening are also expected for more than 2/3 of the day. The ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, or reach with arms will be needed for less than 2/3 of the day.

This position requires that the incumbent be able to lift items up to 70 pounds on an infrequent basis.

The incumbent in this position should have clear vision at 20 inches or less. He/she should be able to view various reports and forms as well as information displayed on a computer monitor and have the ability to distinguish between different colors. Depth perception, peripheral vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to see from a distance are also necessary.
