Job Summary:

UT Health Henderson is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, which are essential for patient care and diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and special laboratory procedures, including quality control, preventative maintenance, and minor equipment repairs.
  • Conduct inventory control and statistical compilation to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement tasks, new employee training, and proficiency testing as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a chemical, physical, or biological science.
  • ASCPT or equivalent certification within a specific area, such as M(ASCP), H(ASCP), or C(ASCP).
  • Five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Scientist within a clinical laboratory.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Current knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques and principles.
