Job Summary

The Newman-Crows Landing Unified School District is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Substitute Custodian/Maintenance/Groundskeeper to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform custodial duties, including cleaning and sanitizing facilities, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies.
  • Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
  • Perform grounds work, including mowing lawns, trimming bushes, and shoveling snow.
  • Assist the Director of Maintenance and Operations with various tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid California driver's license required.
  • Must pass pre-employment medical examination and obtain required fingerprinting and TB test.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
