Job Summary:

This position is accountable for acting as a working supervisor for a crew of Custodians engaged in the cleaning of District buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Custodial department, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of Custodial staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning of District buildings.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to meet the needs of the District.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of facilities, reporting any issues or concerns to the Facilities Manager.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the District.
  • Provide guidance and training to Custodial staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a custodial or facilities management setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.

Working Conditions:

This is a 40-hour per week, Monday through Friday position. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
