Key Responsibilities:- Select, administer, and interpret assessment tools to identify and prioritize functional goals for remediation, compensation, adaptation, or prevention of deficits.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members in oral and written formats, including formal and non-formal situations.
- Apply principles of activity analysis to grade physical, perceptual-cognitive, and psycho-social demands to produce an optimal mesh of the child's or family's abilities to meet environmental demands.
- Assist in training others, including staff, COTAs, aides, and students, as designated in competency expectations.
- Take responsibility for seeking supervision or consultation in relation to clinical performance and actively contribute to improvement plans.
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- NJ State Occupational Therapy License.
- Maintained registration by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.
- AHA BLS Provider Certification.
- Twelve-week pediatric affiliation or pediatric experience.
- Detailed knowledge of developmental theory and the effects of physical and percepto-cognitive disabilities, as well as the psycho-social aspects of functional adaptation to the environment.
- Master's degree.
- Certifications and Licenses.
