Job Title: Associate Manager, Project Management

At S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc., we are seeking an experienced Associate Manager, Project Management to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for delivering new product development and technology projects following an End-to-End project management process framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage products through the new product development process, developing timelines, key milestones, and risk and mitigation plans.
  • Research and evaluate technologies, materials, and components for the development of cost-effective processes and products.
  • Communicate with project champions and sponsors, translating technical topics to enable good decision making.
  • Create products that consumers find appealing and easy to use, with compelling packaging that allows SC Johnson to "win at the store shelf".
  • Provide technical and project leadership within a multi-functional team to drive the development of innovative new products.
  • Provide technical assistance to resolve technical problems, maintain production schedules, and product quality.
  • Stay at the forefront of innovations and trends to leverage new technologies in new products and product packaging.
  • A focus on continuous improvement of product and process.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of RD&E/project management experience across functional teams or Master's Degree with at least 3 years of RD&E/project management experience across functional teams.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Experiences and Skills:
  • Experience working in Consumer Products (CPG) or related industries.
  • Solid project management skills with a track record of launching products and progressing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work with/influence internal and external partners to meet program needs.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of consumer testing techniques and execution of appropriate studies to evaluate product performance.
  • Experience working with external companies as a source of product and/or manufacturing capabilities.
  • Technical breadth and depth in product development and commercialization, global products experience, technology trends, competitive and IP landscape, systems, analytical test methods, sustainability, and leveraging external technologies.
  • Ability to translate and communicate technical topics to both technical and non-technical people.
  • Ability to translate user insights into technical attributes.
Job Requirements:
  • Full-Time.
  • Must be flexible for calls/meetings across global time zones.
  • Office environment.
  • Remote work available once a week for eligible employees.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
