  • SEC Reporting: Oversee the preparation and submission of SEC filings, including 10Ks, 10Qs, and S1s, ensuring compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.
  • Fundraising and Capital Management: Drive strategies to bring in new funding streams, including private financing and additional S1 offerings, supporting long-term financial planning for the company's growth.
  • Accounting Oversight: Lead the accounting function, ensuring sound financial practices and controls.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with the leadership team on strategic initiatives, including market entry and product launch strategies.
  • Public Facing Role: Represent the company in shareholder meetings, investor presentations, and other public forums, serving as the key point of contact for financial communications.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead the finance team, including oversight of senior financial reporting roles and external audit coordination.

Requirements:

  • CPA required with experience as a CFO.
  • Open to industry, but some public company experience required.
  • Experience with small-cap companies, ideally in a start-up or high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead successful fundraising efforts, including private financing and public offerings.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience in creating and delivering pitch decks to investors and stakeholders.
  • Solid accounting foundation-preferably from an operational, rather than investment banking, background.
  • A track record of successfully guiding companies through growth phases and navigating public markets.
  • Experience in go-to-market strategies and working closely with cross-functional teams to support company expansion.
