Key Responsibilities
  • Respiratory Care Services: Provide routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults.
  • Ventilator Management: Set up and administer acute care ventilators for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean, sterilize, assemble, and maintain equipment and stock supplies in the department and on the floors.
  • Communication: Provide complete reports to on-coming personnel and take complete reports from off-going personnel.
  • Education and Experience: Current license or written permission to practice, active registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP Certification required.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year previous hospital experience required, with Emergency Room, Critical Care, Pediatric, and Neonatal experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP Certification required, with PALS and CPFT encouraged and preferred.
