We are seeking a highly skilled Per Diem Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a Per Diem Nurse Anesthetist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality anesthesia care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Administer, monitor, and manage patient care before and after anesthesia under the supervision of an Attending Anesthesiologist.
- Conduct thorough and complete pre-anesthesia assessments in conjunction with the Attending Anesthesiologist.
- Obtain and verify informed consent from patients or legal guardians for planned anesthetic interventions.
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients and/or legal guardians after consultation with the Attending Anesthesiologist.
- Document all anesthetic interventions and patient responses in the patient's medical record.
- Participate in the ongoing review and evaluation of the quality and appropriateness of anesthesia care as a member of the Department of Anesthesiology.
- Assist in research projects as directed by an anesthesiologist.
- May supervise and teach Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs).
- Graduate of an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with proof of current certification.
- Experience in anesthesiology acceptable to the Chairman/Director of Anesthesiology.
- One year experience in an acute care nursing setting.
- Current valid NYS nursing licenses.
- Certified by the Council of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
