We're a neighborhood bagel shop and deli with a passion for serving our community. Our team is dedicated to providing an exceptional guest experience, and we're looking for a talented General Manager to join our team.

Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our shop. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring seamless service, managing inventory and labor costs, and maintaining our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations, including preparing the shop for opening, executing service, and closing
  • Proactively solve problems and take initiative to maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity
  • Manage and lead supervisors and team members to ensure exceptional guest service
  • Work with supervisors to create a positive and efficient work environment
  • Support our high operational standards by maintaining checklists, recipe specs, and other standardized tools
  • Manage maintenance and upkeep of equipment and the shop's surroundings
  • Oversee food and beverage management, including inventory, ordering, and budgeting
  • Recruit, hire, train, and conduct performance evaluations of team members
  • Schedule shifts and positions to ensure adequate coverage
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant management role
  • Good understanding of P&L, COGS, decision making, process improvement, labor/scheduling, training & team development, food quality standards
  • ServeSafe Manager's Food Safety Certification
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain required standards of operation
  • Hospitality-oriented and passionate about the guest experience
  • Hands-on managing style and willingness to lead by example
  • Initiative, proactive thinking, and ability to solve problems
  • High-energy, positive can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure
  • Treat others with kindness and respect
  • Team player and willingness to help others
What We Offer
  • Starting salary: $65,000 and a 20% bonus opportunity
