Job Description:

At General Dynamics, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for directing technical work on projects, leading rollouts of router and switch upgrades for the Military Sealift Command (MSC) fleet, and performing various analyses and preparing documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct technical work on projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Lead rollouts of router and switch upgrades for the MSC fleet, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Perform various analyses and prepare documentation, including project plans, technical reports, and presentations.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings and presentations to stakeholders, including project managers, government representatives, and senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • 7 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 projects in technical areas, with at least one project occurring within the past 3 years.
  • Experience leading teams and managing projects.
  • Security + CE certification and certification in current MSC operating systems.
  • CCNA certification or obtain within 6 months of start date.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
