The Mathematics Department at Western Washington University is seeking qualified individuals to join our vacancy pool for temporary teaching positions. These positions are part-time and may become available at any time, with occasional opportunities for full-time appointments.
Responsibilities- Teach the equivalent of up to three courses per quarter, primarily at the college algebra, pre-calculus, and business math levels.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and achievement.
- Provide students with regular feedback on their coursework and examinations.
- Hold office hours to support student success and well-being.
- Evaluate student performance using standard University evaluation forms.
- Masters degree in mathematics or a related field by date of appointment.
- Evidence of effective teaching at the lower undergraduate level in mathematics.
- Demonstrated commitment to creating inclusive learning environments that value diversity and promote equity.
