Job Title: Director, Systems Engineering

Community College of Baltimore County is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Systems Engineering to lead our Systems Engineering team and server environments. As a key member of our IT leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for the planning, direction, control, and evaluation of all work associated with the day-to-day operation of our Systems Engineering team and server environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision and evaluation to the Systems Engineering staff.
  • Plan and evaluate for the completion of scheduled projects and tasks.
  • Develop the execution of strategic priorities and operational objectives.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with institutional users to understand their needs and business requirements.
  • Resolve problems related to IT systems.
  • Establish goals and objectives for systems operations consistent with CCBC's mission, vision, and values.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required, degree in networking technology or information technology management preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience managing an enterprise networking environment required.
  • Experience with enterprise operating systems and hypervisors in an enterprise, multilocation environment required.
  • Experience working with higher education computer services departments and project management certifications preferred.
