Job Title: Sanitation Team Lead

Johnsonville, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sanitation Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our sanitation department, you will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team of members to consistently deliver great performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach, lead, and develop a team of members to achieve superlative results
  • Analyze opportunities and plan and execute actions around safety, quality, people, and productivity initiatives
  • Evaluate and coordinate training needs and efforts for team members and integrate quality and safety standards
  • Lead, develop, and initiate process improvement efforts that create necessity
  • Be responsible for performance, productivity, and efficient utilization of resources
  • Champion of Safety
  • Lead Tailgate meetings and be a resource for your team
  • Manage and maintain sanitation inventory
  • Work closely with chemical suppliers to determine department focus
  • Monitor bacteria counts and take appropriate actions to correct any issues
  • Participate in the selection process for open positions
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of master sanitation schedule
  • Work closely with USDA inspectors
  • Actively participate in daily sanitation of equipment
  • Actively participate in company sanitary design efforts
Requirements:
  • A minimum 3 years of proven leadership ability and knowledge required
  • Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance (safety, USDA, HACCP)
  • Working knowledge of sanitation and sanitary design principles
  • Demonstrated communication and listening skills and ability
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently
  • Strong ability to make decisions with limited resources
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead by example and also involve others in the decision making process (team player)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible by adjusting priorities
  • Act as a "change agent"
  • Ability to innovate
  • Excellent attitude
  • Collaborate with internal customers to ensure the sanitation department is meeting or exceeding their requirements
  • The ability and desire to spend time on other shifts for an extended period of time
