The JWCH Institute seeks a highly skilled Nurse Leadership Specialist to lead and manage our team of Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) in the DTLA Hotel Program, an interim housing initiative. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of CNAs and Client Aides (CAs).">
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to CNAs.">
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and protocols.">
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality care to patients within the program.">
  • Assist with patient assessments, care planning, and the implementation of care plans.">
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.">
  • Monitor and manage CNA and CA schedules to ensure adequate staffing.">
  • Handle administrative tasks such as inventory management and supply orders.">
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary Care Team to coordinate patient care.">
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.">
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning and problem-solving.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • A valid California state license as a certified CNA is required.">
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNA, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.">
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education in healthcare or a related field is preferred.">
  • Strong leadership and management abilities.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.">
  • Proficiency in patient care and healthcare protocols.">
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.">
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.">
  • Sensitivity and understanding of cultural, social, and economic diversity.">
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability is strongly preferred.">

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
