About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Metrology Engineer to join our team at Laser Thermal. As an Optical Metrology Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing the development of our Nanoprobe Thermoreflectance Microscope (NTM) platform.

With a strong background in engineering and/or scientific disciplines, you will contribute to the continual development of the NTM platform for thermal metrology applications. Your expertise in hardware engineering, system integration, and AI/ML algorithm implementation will be invaluable in optimizing operation of the thermal metrology modes.

In this role, you will also lead the application of AI/ML algorithms on the NTM platform, focusing on automated 'smart' experimentation, advanced signal processing, and correlative discovery of multiphysics phenomena.

The ideal candidate will possess a professional degree in engineering and/or a scientific discipline, combined with relevant work/research experience. Prior experience in scanning probe microscopy, nanoscale thermal transport, AI/ML for automated/smart metrology, and hardware/instrumentation development for metrology is desired.
