Job Description

Science and Technology Corporation (STC) is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support the National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service (NESDIS) Office of Satellite Architecture and Engineering (SAE). The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in all program management activities for the Commercial Data Program, including assembling and managing teams to develop technical requirements for satellite-based commercial data sources.

The ideal candidate will have applied experience with satellite remote sensing architectures and operations, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A Master's degree in engineering or natural sciences with 4 years of experience is preferred, or a Bachelor's degree in engineering or natural sciences with 10 years of experience is acceptable.

The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating commercial sector capabilities for providing satellite remote sensing data, developing planning budgets and performing cost of benefit analyzes for various planned and proposed remote sensing architectures and commercial sources, and preparing and delivering briefings to SAE and NESDIS Leadership and international partners.
