Position Overview
The Physical Therapist I is responsible for delivering direct patient care through evaluation and treatment tailored to the specific needs of the patient population. This role emphasizes continuous professional development and effective leadership while ensuring compliance with competency standards. Participation in interdisciplinary activities and team dynamics is encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations, establish treatment goals, design individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions while adapting to the needs of patients based on their age and condition.
- Ensure the safety of patients during treatment sessions and address any unsafe conditions promptly.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies, and engage in effective communication with healthcare team members and patients.
- Meet clinical productivity expectations and pursue ongoing education to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and revision of hospital policies and procedures, and participate in mandatory training sessions.
Engagement in Program Development
Actively participate in establishing program goals, budgeting, staff management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an APTA accredited Physical Therapy program with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree.
- Less than three years of licensure experience.
- Current valid license or eligibility for licensure in Physical Therapy by the appropriate regulatory board.
