Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at AVS Mountainland Animal Hospital in Kingwood, WV.

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional client service and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls, responding to client inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Processing laboratory sample collections, interpreting results, and communicating with clients regarding test outcomes.
  • Scheduling, confirming, and adjusting patient appointments, as well as maintaining accurate records of client interactions.
  • Handling client paperwork, scanning, faxing, and other administrative tasks.
  • Providing exceptional client communication and education, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
  • Utilizing computerized medical records and invoicing systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date client information.
  • Checking in and out patients/clients, monitoring voicemail, and responding to client inquiries in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume call center or veterinary reception role.
  • 1+ year of experience in small animal practice preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with discretion.
