Job Summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to aid in the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and obtain necessary medical history information.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, replenish stock, and prepare contrast media and solutions for administration to patients.
  • Review clinical data, analyze anatomical structures, and perform procedures according to protocols.
  • Manually control equipment to obtain diagnostic information and assist radiologists in performing invasive procedures.
  • Prepare and set up sterile equipment, physiological monitors, and imaging equipment required for procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Registered (or registry eligible) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required.
  • Maintain required hours of continued medical education.
  • Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
